Walt Jones
Percussion-Vocals
Walt has played drums since he was ten years old.He has musical training
and plays keyboard, trumpet and other brass instruments. He started as
a jazz drummer and moved to Rock during the late 60's. He has played
in many local bands before Peace and Quiet. Has influences from Buddy
Rich, Keith Moon, John Bonham and Neal Pert. Walt handles the production
of the original songs and also helped in engineering of their album.He enjoys playing live with songs that have a hard driving beat that creates
very tight sound. Second only to playing for live audiences, he enjoys producing the songs Peace & Quiet write.
He has had extensive experience in the recording studios. He travels all over the world and had the opportunity to see bands in China, Japan, Germany, Italy, England and of course all over the US. Hearing different live bands and hearing their unique sounds enables him to have production ideas he brings back home to Peace & Quiet. He has always dreamed, as has all the members of the band, to be in a band that plays for large audiences. Playing for a crowd that enjoys good old fashioned rock and roll is the greatest "high" you ever can get, that is what Walt craves.
